Black-Crowned Night Heron

Black-Crowned Night Heron is a smaller cousin to the Great Blue Heron. It lives in pairs and have their nests near water. They eat fish by harpooning them with their long slender bill just like the Great Blue. It can be found on rivers, ponds, and lake sides. They are silent hunters and its is a tough siting them out hunting. They also eat frogs, crayfish, and snakes.
