Mourning Doves is a common species of bird in the city. They live in pairs for all their lives. If one dies the other will stay near by the other. Mourning Doves eat exclusively seeds. They live on buildings, in trees and other places that they can stay out of site of predators. Mourning Doves makes a cuing sound which is their trade mark. They are in the same family with the Rock Dove.
