Red junglefowl is the wild cousin of the domesticated chicken. It can fly for short distances and run good speed. They have a powerful beak and sharp claws for fighting off intruders. Males have brightly coloured feathers and females have the dim feathers. Males have a crest and waddle while the females does not. They mainly live in jungles of Tailand and spend lots of time on the forest floor, but when danger is around they will take to the trees and hide from predators.
